主人公金晓的父母外出打工，奶奶接送上学，遭到同学的嘲笑。超市店主夫妇善意假装金晓父母接听电话，听着孩子报喜的消息。一方面，表达留守儿童对远方父母的思念之情；另一方面，突出了无处不在的人间真情。本片主题鲜明，关注“留守儿童”这一社会现实问题，具有现实意义。
